Happy beginning of the week! Let’s start it off right with a bit of a game. This is a recurring game on this blog, so if you want further detail about it, I’d suggest you click here.
So without further ado, let the guessing begin.
Comment your guesses. As always, even if you don’t know, but want me to tell you, comment something so I can be sure to fill you in later! I’ll respond in a couple of days!
A. S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger (at “the bandar blog”) to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available now wherever books are sold.

I love these!!!!

Thank you – there’s a new one up today, too! The first one was Girl on the Train and the second was Anna Karenina! (:
Carlisa
The first is The Girl on the Train, I think? I haven’t read it, but I’ve seen the trailer for the new movie! And then the second is Anna of Karenina, hands down.
Ali (@thebandarblog)
You got it girl!! Right on both of them 😀
Kat Impossible
Is it The Girl on the Train and Anna Karenina? If so, I feel proud because I haven’t read either one yet.
Ali (@thebandarblog)
Hahaha, does that mean I made them too easy? Good job- you got them both!
Kat Impossible
Not at all! Anna was really just a lucky guess because I don’t know many books with Russian families. And I watched the trailer for The Girl on the Train, so that helped.

The Girl on the Train and Anna Karenina 🙂 I love Anna
Ali (@thebandarblog)
You’re right on both! Do you love Anna the character or Anna the book!? Because OMG Anna herself drove me crazy!!
luvtoread
I loved Anna the character. I found her fascinating, and I loved reading her descent into madness. Tolstoy wrote her character brilliantly. Her final chapters were spellbinding. The book was good, but if I were to read it again I’d just read the parts with Anna and skip the rest.
Ali (@thebandarblog)
Hahahaha. I’m glad you appreciated her so much. I agree that she was done really well (which is probably why I couldn’t stand her) and the last few chapters were intense, but my gosh I don’t think I could ever that book again – ESPECIALLY her parts! Agree to disagree (;

Definitely agree to disagree 🙂 It’s why reading and discussing is so much fun!
momknu
don’t know the first, but the second is the worst book I’ve ever tried to read twice, Anna K!!
too bad she didn’t throw herself under the train earlier to spare us the misery!
Ali (@thebandarblog)
Hahahaha. The first one was Girl on the Train (it’s one of the audiobooks I have on audible if you feel like listening to a thriller!)!
anhdara13
I haven’t a foggiest about either OMG.
Ali (@thebandarblog)
Haha. The first was Girl on the Train and the second one was Anna Karenina! 😀
kath-reads
I read The Girl On the Train and I think it’s the answer to the first one. I have no idea with the second. 😀
Ali (@thebandarblog)
Nice job! And the second one is Anna Karenina 😀 There’s a new one up today you can try if you feel up for more guessing!
Trish @ Between My Lines
I knew Girl on the Train immediately and I knew what book the second one was, just couldn’t think of the name. The comments filled me in! Fun post 🙂
Ali (@thebandarblog)
Hahah, glad they were able to help out 😀 Thanks for stopping by!
