Alright guys, we made it through January. How are we all doing with our resolutions? I’m actually still doing pretty dang good with my personal resolutions. As far as my bookish resolutions go, I haven’t been doing so hot. Oh well, there’s always February to try to improve, right?

Books Read in January (click links for reviews)

My favorite was easily Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. I also read both Veronica Speedwell novels by Deanna Raybourn. I attempted The Mask by Taylor Stevens and learned quickly it wasn’t for me. I also read Unicorn Tracks by Julia Ember, Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton, and Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye (reviews coming up soon).

2017 Bookish Resolutions Check-In:

  1. “Blog a little less.” I don’t know why, but I’ve been re-inspired to blog. As a result, I’ve been blogging a heck of a lot more.
  2. “Read more classics!” I have NINE (that’s it!) books in my possession left to read before I’m caught up with my TBR! I’m SO CLOSE! As such, I have been reading through that stack like it’s my job, and haven’t started on classics yet. Once I get caught up I’ll start tackling this resolution.
  3. “Read more advanced copies.” Well I read one in January and have 3 more in my possession that I will be reading soon. I think I’m doing pretty good with this one.

How are you all doing with your reading resolutions (if you made any)?! What was your favorite book you read in January?
