As a blogger and writer, a lot of my computer time is spent on social media. And, of course, I spend a lot of time on other authors’ accounts to both learn from them AND meet fellow bibliophiles who love them (and their books) as much as I do. So let me share my favorite authors to follow.
1. Nadine Brandes
Nadine is the author of numerous highly-praised YA fantasy novels. She’s 100% likeable on social media (I feel like she must be the sweetest person on the planet), and she gives great writing and social media advice! Bonus: she takes lovely bookish photos!
2. Adrienne Young
Adrienne is also a YA author. She has a stunningly moody aesthetic on her instagram, but she also tells you loads of fun details about her published (and upcoming) novels, so you feel like you’ve got an “in” if you follow her.
3. Jay Kristoff
I am a huge fan of Jay’s Nevernight series, so the best part of following him on social media is ALL of the fan art he posts from the series! Bonus: he doesn’t give a sh*t what you think about his books, and it’s hilarious.
4. Roshani Chokshi
Besides the fact that she has a stroller for her cat, which obviously makes her super awesome, Roshani Chokshi shows off a beautiful and authentic life on her instagram. She’s a fun one to live vicariously through.
5. ME!
