Wellllll, they’re not actually related in any real way (other than the fact that I would love to devour cookies every time I read). BUT I was recently tagged by Stephanie at Holed Up in a Book to do this “cookie book tag,” so voila! Here it is!
*Note: I have no idea who created these prompts. They’re fun, but I need to make sure I make it clear I had nothing to do with them other than the answers.
Chocolate Chip: A Classic Book That You Love
There a bunch of classics that I love, but this is a more recent read. It surprised me by how much I enjoyed it!
Thin Mints: A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ and/or a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read
I wantthis fandom to be a part of… but… I just couldn’t get that into the second book. I guess it felt a little too juvenile for me? WAHHH BUT I WANT TO LOVE IT!
Shortbread: An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of
Becky Chambers has three books out now and I have loved every single one of them. This was the first one I read, and it HOOKED ME. I can’t wait for her to write more!!!!
Samoas: An Emotional Rollercoaster
This book freaking invented emotional rollercoasters. MY GAWD IT WAS ROUGH.
Oreos: A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover
This cover is SO GORGEOUS but this story was so… not.
Tagalogs/Peanut Butter Patties: A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected
I didn’t know what the hell to expect with this book, BUT IT WASN’T WHAT I GOT. I freaking LOVED this book, and now I’m considering re-reading it…
Snickerdoodles: A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving
LAWD this book was intense, but it is everything I adore in a story: HEARTBREAKING LOVE. I ADORED IT AND WILL LOVE IT FOREVER. But I have to admit it damaged me so much I have yet to re-read it again… so I can’t say that I’ll re-read it forever, because I haven’t re-read it yet.
I want you to answer some of these! Choose one (or all!) to answer. And if you’re a blogger, I TAG YOU!
A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.
KB @ This Side of Storyland
This is such a fun idea! I love it. I’ve been meaning to read The Graces for a while, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Hopefully it won’t be an Oreo book for me . . .
KB @ This Side of Storyland just posted A Look at My Bookshelf #9

Yes, hopefully you’ll like it loads more than I did!
