What I’m Reading Now (Am I Even Reading?)

Hello! This is me waving at you from the bottom of my book slump. I’m still not reading very much (and the books that I am reading have been taking me forever to get through). Let’s take a look at what I’m in the middle of, shall we?

What I Just Finished Reading

Actually, I didn’t finish any of these. Of the four books I recently read, I DNF’d three of them. The Book of M wasn’t bad at all, I just found I wasn’t interested in it. I think if I wasn’t in a slump, I would have loved it. Crown of Midnight just had a very cliche feel to it, so it wasn’t doing it for me. I know that this series is supposed to get wayyyy better, and I really want to be on board with the Throne of Glass train… but ugh, I just can’t (I blame my slump). Little Do We Know didn’t have the right voice for me. This one seemed better suited for a younger audience (it’s definitely YA, not one of those YA that crosses over into adult sort of books)

What I’m Reading Now

I told y’all in my book slump post that I’m taking dramatic measures to see if I can pull myself out of it: I’m reading Twilight. I’m listening to the audiobook, and it’s going okay so far. I’ve been very excited to read Record of a Spaceborn Few, and so far I’m enjoying it! It took me a bit longer to get into than her other two, but it has the same feel for sure.

What I’m Reading Next

Next on my physical-read-TBR is My So-Called Bollywood Life, which seems like is going to be the perfect slump book. My next audio will definitely be a classic, I’m just not sure which it will be yet…
