I’ve been doing a few “cover” posts recently, AND WHY THE HECK NOT? Honestly, I’m not reading enough books right now to be busting out 10000 reviews anyway (…..I’ve been too busy writing), and ALSO, I freaking LOVE good book covers, okay? It appeals to my design-oriented senses. Or something. So anyway, this post I have taken from That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt. And let’s just say, THANK THE LAWD someone is coming up with something for me to post, because otherwise y’all would be hearing a bunch of crickets.

So I really thought hard about this prompt (and by thought hard I mean I sang the rainbow song “Red orange yellow green blue purple” over and over in my head until I came up with a color I wanted to post about), and decided that my favorite book cover color is WHITE. So feast your eyes on my FAVORITE WHITE COVERS.

1. I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

I'll Give You the Sun
This book also happens to be one of my favorites.

2. A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab

I, in fact, love ALL of the covers of this series (all are white). And I also love this series. So win win all around!

3. Room by Emma Donoghue

I love how well this cover represents the book. Flawlessly designed!

4. The Summer that Melted Everything by Tiffany McDaniel

Another really simple cover that captures the story perfectly.

5. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

Okay, I’m going to be honest. I don’t love this cover. BUT I LOVE this book, so I felt like I had to include it?

6. Warcross by Marie Lu

Kay, obvi I have to love this cover because of the rainbow. The story is pretty fun, too. Review coming out soonish!

7. Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton

Okay so I couldn’t find just the cover image of this book, so I had to post a photo of the book itself. I really do love this cover, and more importantly, I LOVED JURASSIC PARK!!

Do you have a favorite book cover color? Or, do a lot of your favorite books share a similar color cover? I was surprised that so many of the books I loved had white covers.
