A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.

Stephen King’s IT has to be my favorite story of all time!
Ali
Did you read the book and love it? Or just the movie? I’ve seen the movie, of course, but haven’t read the book!
Kristen @ Metaphors and Moonlight
Ooh looks like you’ve got some fun posts lined up! I’ve been contemplating making a post about the horror books I’ve read since I actually haven’t read that many and never tend to talk about them, and I think you’ve inspired me to go for it 🙂 I don’t think I have a favorite scary story though because of the whole not much of a horror reader thing lol. I think those famous scary stories books scarred me as a child 😉
Kristen @ Metaphors and Moonlight just posted Update: The Weekly Update 10/1/17
Ali
You totally should write a post of the horror books you’ve read! I don’t see enough horror in the blogosphere (but I’m sure that is in part due to who I follow). We need more!

October is my favourite month too! Its just so dark, atmospheric, oh and I can be my spooky self without judgement. To pick just one scary story is tough, but I would have to say, and this is one that has stuck with me since childhood, is In a Dark, Dark, Room and Other Scary Stories. The Girl with the Green Ribbon still gives me the chills today, just goes to show children’s authors are just as good at scaring people as adult fiction writers.
Ali
Yes to Other Scary Stories! Loved those. I haven’t heard of the other two, I’ll have to check them out (: October is the absolute BEST!!

My favourite scary story would be dreamcatcher by stephen king. Lordy that man can make your imagination go into hooror fear mode just describing the icky things that happen in the book. large worm-like aliens ewww. Scared me the whole book but I couldnt put it down and have read it many times and watched the movie.
Ali
King really is the master of horror isn’t he??

Jeanette Jackson
