Well, well, well. Here we are all the way done with September and I SERIOUSLY don’t understand where the time went. I’m not complaining, though, because now we’re on to my favorite month of the year (SQUEEEE!!! I LOVE OCTOBER!!). But before I completely leave September in the dust, let me do a quick recap.
This month was incredibly busy for me, and unfortunately next month will be, too. But that’s okay, because there are also amazing things happening and more amazing things coming up! In September we got to visit Nashville and see some good friends get married (in a zoo!). Next month I’m seeing a bunch of my vet school friends in Phoenix. I’m also going to be heading to Disneyland for their Halloween festivities, which are spooky perfection and I am freaking stoked!
I didn’t get a ton of stuff read this month (I worked a disgusting amount), but I was consistent with my reading, at least. I’ve got quite a TBR for the next few months, though, so I better jump start my reads!
One Classic and One ARC Per Month
Part of my blogging resolutions is to read a classic and advanced readers copy each month.
Classic: I read Day of the Triffids. I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as I hoped I would. It started off especially slow. Took me forever to get through.
ARC: Meh. Didn’t get to one. (I did start The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock, which I technically received early? So maybe I can count that as an ARC…? maybe?)

A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.

Yay!! Our autumn involves finally being able to open up the house and let the nice weather in, but then again, I’m in CA so we’ll never get to a place where I’m getting out the big coat! XD
