This May was quite eventful in my personal life because a) I finished my novel edits (though my slow AF husband is editing it now), and b) my husband graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He’s a real adult and technically a doctor y’all! Between those two things, I’ve worked (yawn, I won’t bore you with talk of my job) and actually managed to read a decent amount (I thought I was only going to read 1-2 books this month, so having 5 under the belt is a success)! Oh, and last but not least: I celebrated by 2-year bloggiversary!

One Classic and One ARC Per Month
Part of my blogging resolutions is to read a classic and advanced readers copy each month.
Classic: The Tales of the Arabian Nights (just a few of the stories so far)
ARC: Furyborn by Claire Legrand. See my review here!
Links I Loved
- Avhlee from ScarletWriters had a great post about things she wished she had known prior to starting her blog. Great information if you’ve thought about starting a blog yourself!
- Krysta from Pages Unbound had a great post on how Barnes & Noble can save their business.
- Since I’ve been slacking on my posts about upcoming releases, I’ll borrow Maria’s from Big City Bookworm. It’s her list of upcoming releases she’s excited for!

How was May for you? What was your favorite book read this month?
A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.

Your Bookstagram photos are sooo pretty! 😀
And thanks for featuring my post!
Amber @ The Literary Phoenix
How’re you feeling about Arabian Nights so far? I have a gorgeous B&N leatherbound edition on my shelf that I’ve been actively avoiding for 4 years because it’s big and scary. XD

I’m sorry Robin Hood was such a flop. 😩
My favorite book was The Prince and the Dressmaker. It was ridiculously cute and pretty.
