Well HOLY CRAP, my two year bloggiversary has flown by (it was April 10, apparently), and I did NOTHING to celebrate it. Now listen, something as time consuming as blogging ABSOLUTELY needs to be celebrated when milestones are reached, because it’s kind of like a bon voyage to all those hours of my life that I’ll never get back, ya know?

So what has happened in the last year, since my one-year bloggiversary post?

  1. I have steady traffic!
A year ago I was happy if I had some traffic to my blog for two days after a blog post. Now I have traffic every day, regardless if I post. This is a LOVELY surprise, because it panders to my lazy self who doesn’t want to write blog posts all of the time. I would like to attribute this to my amazing blogging successs, but I know that it’s probably because I have finally started caring about my SEO score (don’t worry if you have no idea what this means, it’s geeky computer talk that I barely understand).
  2. I have written 1.5 novels!
Well color me surprised! The last time I wrote anything was almost twenty years ago when I was in the sixth grade and crafted my 300-word masterpiece, The Earth Artist. Now I’ve got half of a horror novel (it’s zombie-licious) and an entire fantasy novel (I’m talking jinni’s and courtesans) complete. I doubt they’ll go anywhere, but I’m pretty dang amazed at my writing powers.
  3. Books are falling into my lap.
I have to turn down loads of books now, because I just can’t read (or even photograph to share on my bookstagram) all the books that people have wanted to send. This is a wonderful perk! I don’t ever spend money on books I’m actually reading anymore. Hooray! Now I just need to figure out how can I get these publishers to send me the beautiful classics that I keep spending my money on…
  4. A lot of you are actually really cool.
I’m starting to meet a number of you in real life, and it’s FREAKING AWESOME. I figured a bunch of book people couldn’t be that cool, you know? (JK PEOPLE)

I am endlessly grateful for the support that I receive from you all! You are my validation- THE REASON I keep blogging. If you weren’t coming to my site and reading these posts, I wouldn’t be doing this. Period

Since I’m moving into my third year of blogging, what would you like to see more of
