A while back I heard loads of amazing things about The Kiss Quotient on twitter. Enough people said that it was super cute and they loved it that I decided to look beyond the fact that it was a romance novel (which is not my thing). Read on to see if I was able to get beyond the annoying things about the genre and enjoy the story.

A heartwarming and refreshing debut novel that proves one thing: there's not enough data in the world to predict what will make your heart tick.

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases--a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.

It doesn't help that Stella has Asperger's and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice--with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan--from foreplay to more-than-missionary position...

Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he's making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic...

What you need to know about The Kiss Quotient:

1. It’s a very cute love story between an autistic economist (or, should I say econometrician?) and an escort. It’s certainly interesting and enlightening to read a book with a main character who has Asperger’s. It provided a lot of insight into perhaps what some people with the same diagnosis are experiencing.

2. The novel is a reverse Cinderella story. In this book our main character, Stella, is the one with all the cash money, and it’s the guy who is moving up in the world by being with her.

3. It is very steamy. Maybe you don’t need to be told this knowing that it’s a romance novel, but apparently I wasn’t prepared for how steamy this book was going to get. And there is a lot of nipple stuff. It was weird.

If you’re looking for a light-hearted, fun love story, definitely check this one out. It only gets 3 stars from me because it is overly simple and straight-forward.
