Can’t say that I had the most remarkable bookish February of all-time. I’m listening to the LONGEST EVER audiobook (Gone with the Wind), so I made very little audiobook progress this month. I also read a very long book for the first half of February. It wasn’t until I realized February was almost over and I hadn’t read my one ARC yet, that I finally paused that book to pick up another one. So really I read basically one book this month? Two others are still in the process. WOW LAME. But. But. But. BUT! I went to Disneyland this month, so that made everything better.
One Classic and One ARC Per Month
Part of my blogging resolutions is to read a classic and advanced readers copy each month.
Classic: In the second half of Gone with the Wind. This audiobook is 50 hours long, so it’s okay that I didn’t finish it all this month.
ARC: Unbury Carol by Josh Malerman. My review will be up closer to release date (in April).

February’s Best of Bookstagram
In very scandalous bookstagram news, I’ve changed up my theme, so now my photos are moodier. At first the change was rough on my color-loving soul, but you moody fools like these photos so much better! So since the masses are all about it, I’ve come to accept the moodier look is the way to go for now.

Did you do anything incredible this February?
A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.
Aj @ Read All The Things!
I really want to read Gone With The Wind someday, but the size of it terrifies me. Good luck with finishing it! I’m envious that you got to visit Disney. I haven’t been there since I was a kid. Have a great March!

Thank you friend! Yes, the size is very intimidating – I am almost at the finish line. Just a few more hours left in my audiobook!

Oh gosh, a 50 hour audiobook. I don’t think I could read Gone With the Wind, let alone listen to it, but good for you!! I’m really curious about Unbury Carol. I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts. Goodreads seems to be a bit mixed, but I loved Bird Box so I think I’ll check this out.

Hopefully next month will be a better reading month!

Omg, 50 hours is so long. 😂
I’m loving your new theme as much as the old one! I’m glad it’s doing better. IG absolutely hates me at the moment. 🙈

Thanks Maraia! IG is the literal WORST with the algorith. I probably won’t stop complaining about it until I don’t remember the old IG anymore!

Great wrap-up post! I’m admiring you so much for being able to finish Gone With The Wind – and in audiobook format, wow, you’re a true hero! I also love your idea to read one classic and one ARC per month, it sounds very effective and I might try it myself too because I feel like I’m totally being negligent with reading classics.
Lovely post! <3
Ali
Thanks! And yes, it’s a good strategy. And if you’re having an off month, just read a short classic (like me reading Call of the Wild right now! only 150 pgs)!
