June was sort of a meh blogging month for me. Not only has it officially turned into lava hot summer, I didn’t blog much, write much, or even instagram that much. I was feeling sort of uninspired, I guess? Well that happens. NO BIG DEAL. Hopefully I’ll pick things up in July (mostly, I want to pick back up writing).
One Classic and One ARC Per Month
Part of my blogging resolutions is to read a classic and advanced readers copy each month.
Classic: Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian (review coming soon!)
ARC: I tried to read Little Do We Know by Tamara Ireland Stone, but it was TOTALLY not for me so I DNF’d it at 25%.

What was your LEAST favorite book that you read this month?
A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.

I feel like I read pretty good books this month – sorry to hear about the DNF and that you felt overall uninspired this month. It’s definitely really freaking hot where I live though, so it doesn’t make me want to do much. LOL I really want to try and schedule ahead as much as I can this week. I need to get back into my own personal writing and I need to make more room for that.

Aj @ Read All The Things!
I relate so hard to the title of this post. When it’s hot, I don’t want to do anything except whine about how hot it is. I DNFed a book last month, so that one was my least favorite. I feel bad because it’s a really popular book.

hahahah yes, heat destroys all motivation!!! and don’t feel bad about DNFing a popular book -your expectations were probably too high, and there’s no ONE book that EVERYONE will love (HP comes close… but there are haters that exist, too!)

Unlike other months I didn’t have any 5 star reads. My average for the month is the highest its been but that is all because of the 4 star reads. There was nothing exciting about that. I think that sticks out to me more this month than any book I wasn’t feeling.
I hope you find some of your inspiration back in July.

My least favourite book I read this month is a french book (UGH why is it that when I try to read in my own language I’m always disappointed?? though another french YA novel that I read was lovely so)
I used english myths and there was a lot of pregnancies, rapes and so on that I was really ??? welp ^^’
Thankfully I read a lot of good stuff to compensate!
Love your photos as always *o*
Ali
i’m glad you at least had other good reads to compensate XD i’m sorry your french books disappoint you!! i guess you gotta find the hidden gems!

YOUR BOOKSTAGRAM PHOTOS ARE SO PRETTY!!
My least favourite book I read in June was an unsolicited review copy I read. It was an early reader/middle-grade kind of book. I wasn’t the target audience at all though, so that’s probably why I didn’t enjoy it much! XD
Ali
well that was nice of you even to read it! at this point i don’t read unsolicited stuff unless it really appeals to me- there just isn’t enough time in the day!
