Whew! GOODBYE JULY! I love ticking off the awful summer months, because it means that the heat is close to ending (…well, it at least 2 more months where I live), and HALLOWEEN WILL BE UPON US SOON! YES! I live for the fall and Halloween (remember my Halloween Bonanza last year?). I had a pretty awesome July, because I got to go to Disneyland!! YAY! When I’m there, I absorb enough magic to get me through for another month. I’ll be headed back there again in August to recharge (I’m also doing a national park tour of the Southwest!). Anyway, here’s my July wrap-up. Tell me what’s new with you!
One Classic and One ARC Per Month
It’s a personal goal to read a classic and advanced readers copy each month. This month I did even better than I expected!
Classic: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Cannery Row by John Steinback, and Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne
ARC: The Crowns of Croswald by DE Night and Retribution Rails by Erin Bowman

How was your July?! Did you read or do anything AWESOME?
A.S. Thornton has evolved from book blogger to author with a particular fondness for writing forbidden love in ancient deserts. When not writing, she’s caring for dogs and cats as a veterinarian. You’ll never find animals at the center of her writing, though, because those fictional worlds don’t have veterinarians and her literal brain can’t accept that the poor critters would be without parasite prevention. Thornton’s debut, DAUGHTER OF THE SALT KING is available wherever books are sold.

Disneyland is magical, and the southwest has so many great parks! I hope you have an amazing time! I can’t believe July is almost over. Just another few weeks until school. . . . That’s a highly depressing thought. Oh well. Enjoy your next trip to Disneyland and soak up enough magic for all of us!

HAHA I mostely slacked.
A lot.
#goals.
But dang your month was awesome! I lament that you didn’t enjoy Our Dark Duet that much, BUT HEY it’s not for everyone! I’m reading it right now and I just don’t want it to end! And it reads so quickly! To be fair I haven’t finished it haha so who knows what I’ll feel by the end!
Wow this turned into an ODD comment…OOPS.
Your read list astounds me! I am so impressed by people who can regularly read more than 4 books a month haha. I technically have the time, but a lot of the time I feel too stressed to even read, OR THINK.
Loved this post!!

I listen to audiobooks, too, so that helps immensely!! But I definitely enjoyed ODD, but just not as much as I loved TSS! I hope you end up loving it, though! I really loved the world that Schwab created!

Ooh, please take lots of pictures on your national park tour!! I’d love to see more one day.
Your bookstagram is always gorgeous. I look forward to your posts every day!
My favorite books of the month were The Last Mortal Bond and The Fourth Monkey., but really I read a ton of great books in July.

I’m jealous you read a ton of good books in July! Like I said, I couldn’t remember what the heck I read, so nothing must have been that memorable. I will definitely take some pictures of the national park tour! I’ll probably post most on my IG story XD
